5th Republican Candidate for the 17th District – Video

Bill Cleaveland

Bill Cleaveland

Bill Cleaveland, a 58 year-old Botetourt attorney announced today at his office at British Woods Drive. There was a crowd of 60 or so people that could not fit in his office with the TV crews so it was moved outside. It had started to get cold and there was some shivering going on – no coats.

Cleaveland said, “the growth of government is staggering and just simply is unacceptable.” His priorities are transportation, education, and public safety. He called himself a blend of Jefferson and Reagan – low taxes and limited government. FIND BILL CLEAVELAND’s COMPLETE BIO HERE.

There may be a 6th according to Adam Boitnott, Republican Roanoke City Chair. If you have lost track of the five who have announced so far, take heart there will be a forum coming soon says Boitnott. The other’s vying for the nomination are Melvin Williams, Josh Johnson, Chris Head, and Mike Wray.
