Another GOP Candidate for the 17th District

Wednesday at 11:00 AM, Joshua Johnson an attorney with Gentry Locke Rakes and Moore, LLP will formally announce his candidacy for Virginia’s 17th district. He will face attorney Melvin Williams in a primary on June 9. There is still time for more candidates – the field is getting crowded. So far their is no opposition to Councilwoman Gwen Mason on the Democrats side. Johnson will announce at the Roanoke Regional Airport board room.

The 11th District has no GOP candidate as of yet. However, Jeffrey Martin is challenging incumbent Democrat Onzlee Ware in the primary.
