Another public input meeting for new city manager scheduled

As part of the search process for a new city manager for the City of Roanoke, an additional public comment meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Noel C. Taylor Municipal Building.

At the meeting, citizens will be encouraged to participate in a conversation with Colin Baenziger, who represents the firm charged by Roanoke City Council with the task of recruiting city manager candidates.

Mr. Baenziger will answer questions and receive comments to help develop a recruitment profile for the city manager. Members of City Council also will be present to hear citizens’ comments.

Roanoke City Council selected Colin Baenziger & Associates of Florida in September and held a series of public meetings on Sept. 16 and 17 to allow the community to receive information and provide input to Mr. Baenziger.

Written comments from those who were unable to attend are also welcome and will be used as guidance by City Council.
