“Battleground Virginia” YouTube Video – Debate Not Aired in Roanoke

In Arlington Wednesday Evening a last ditch debate on ABC Channel 7 aired while the Roanoke viewing area was left out. The three Democratic gubernatorial candidates Brian Moran, Craigh Deeds, and Terry McAuliffe gave it their last best shot. Moran went on the attack and differentiated himself on off-shore drilling, gay marriage, and gun restrictions. McAuliffe stuck to his business background and jobs. Deeds touted his Washington Post endorsement that said Deeds is the candidate most likely to beat Republican candidate for governor, Bob McDonnell. Deeds lost by 365 votes to McDonnell in the Attorney General race while Tim Kaine won the governor’s seat.

Questions came from YouTube, ABC 7 anchor Leon Harris and POLITICO Editor-in-Chief John F. Harris in the ABC 7/WJLA-TV studio
