As demonstrated by the lack of attendance at public hearings and area presentations citizens have shown little interest in the voting precinct changes.
Councilman Bill Bestpitch’s late-in-the-game voter precinct realignment plan is an unnecessary, time-wasting distraction to the long overdue three-year-old discussion of the much needed voter precinct consolidation. The 32 precincts have become way out of sync with the city’s population shift.
The good news is that voters don’t have to worry about where to vote on November 4. Nothing will change for the November Senate election.
