“Fuzzy” Minnix asks for four more years on school board

H. Odell “Fuzzy” Minnix

I am asking the voters of the Cave Spring Magisterial District of Roanoke County to allow me to work for them on the Roanoke County School Board as their representative for another four years. It has been an honor to serve them for the past four years. Even though we have faced serious financial constraints during the past three years, Roanoke County Schools continue to provide quality education that has made our school district one of the finest in the Commonwealth.

During my first term on the School Board, we have accomplished much, including the following:

At Cave Spring High School, a nearly one million dollar renovation of the main entrance and lobby, with improved security and new restroom facilities

Renovations at both Green Valley and Cave Spring Elementary Schools

Construction will begin on a new Cave Spring Middle School very soon after school is out this year

Redrew the schools’ attendance lines to better equalize the student population at our elementary, middle and high schools in Southwest County

Cave Spring voters, I thank you for your support in the past, and hope that you will continue to place your confidence in me as your School Board representative.
