McAuliffe releases first campaign ad defining himself

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe is launching his first television advertisement of the campaign.  The ad, which will begin airing statewide on Thursday May 2nd, highlights Terry’s dedication to family and job creation.

“I started my first business at age fourteen when I knew I was going to have to help pay for college.  The feeling I got starting that business is the feeling I want all Virginians to experience,” said McAuliffe.  “That’s why I’m running for Governor and why I’ve spent the last four months traveling around the Commonwealth gathering mainstream ideas to make Virginia a better place to create jobs and support a family.”

Transcript:

Terry McAuliffe voiceover: I’m the youngest of four boys and when I was fourteen I saw a chance to literally pave the way to my future and I started a business paving driveways.

That helped me pay for college.

My wife Dorothy and I have lived in Virginia for over twenty years and here we’ve raised five children of our own.

I know nothing is more important to Virginians than creating good jobs that can support a family. That will be my focus every day. I’m Terry McAuliffe and that’s why I’m running for Governor.
