Norman Hudson who has worked for the Sheriff’s Department for 30 years had planned to run for Sheriff as an Independent. Norman Hudson is the nephew of former Sheriff and Councilman Alvin Hudson. Hudson is a Lieutenant in the Court Division.

In a phone call Norman Hudson said he decided against running and he “will let Frank Garrett and Brian Keenum battle it out.” Hudson who lives in Roanoke County would have had  to establish residency in Roanoke City before being placed on the ballot.

This isn’t newsworthy. Why would this be a story? Because someone thought about running for an office?

Because he previously said he was planning to run and it was reported. It needs to be corrected since he changed his mind.
