The Washington Post Endorses Creigh Deeds for Governor

The Washington Post endorses Creigh Deeds to be the Democratic gubernatorial nominee today. Their reasoning stems from Deeds support of transportation. Deeds supported and voted for a one cent per gallon gas tax to fund road improvements. Though he is the more conservative of the three candidates and lost to the Republican candidate and Attorney General Bob McDonnell by 375 votes in the last election, the Washington Post sees it as a plus that the narrow margin predicts that Deeds would win against McDonnell.
