I’m sad to hear of Dr. Perriello’s passing. Vito was my son’s pediatrician back in the late 80’s through early 90’s.

I’ll never forget the day when we took our son in to the emergency room at Martha Jefferson Hospital after he had fallen and injured his leg the previous evening. Vito happened to be on call that Sunday morning, and he ordered x-rays on his leg, although he didn’t think the leg was broken. It turned out the leg was indeed broken and Vito was most definitely surprised.

In my dealings with Dr. Perriello, I found him to be a most wonderful, practical, and compassionalte man. If his son inherited even half of his qualities, he will be an outstanding legislator.

Yes, Tom will be an excellent legislator. Maybe he can fix or “broken” government.
