Roanoke – Today, Ginger Mumpower, Democratic candidate for the 8th House of Delegates district, announced that she has received the endorsement of U.S. Senator Mark Warner. This endorsement comes during a busy holiday season and is greatly appreciated by the campaign.
“Ginger has always been focused on people not politics,’ Warner said. “She understands that partisan bickering and back room deal-making is not the way to get things done. Ginger will work across party lines to ensure that Government works for the people of the 8th district and Virginia.”
Mumpower’s campaign will focus on jobs and rebuilding the local economy in Roanoke and Salem. “Ginger shares my priorities of job creation, supporting education and improving our transportation infrastructure,” Warner said. “She will bring with her to Richmond a common sense approach to these issues and a strong foundation of leadership.”
Responding to Warner’s endorsement, Mumpower stated “I’m so excited to have the support of an esteemed leader like Mark, and I intend to follow his lead as a representative who will support our local economy. I pledge to the people of the 8th district that I will keep their best interests at heart and never forget who I serve.”
