What’s wrong with these two parcels for soccer fields?

The “Super Branch Library” is off the table and the parcel the city purchased for it on Peters Creek Road just down from the Countryside golf course property sits idle and has no future. At least three if not four tournament fields would fit there.

Revised library plan will invest in neighborhood branches

This over 15-acre parcel at Orange Avenue and Williamson Road is an optimal parcel for all the soccer fields the city needs. It has languished for sale for many years. It is across the street from Northwest Recreation Center. There is also an additional acre plus on the other side of the road. You can see it for sale HERE.

There is no residential to intrude on this parcel and it is near hotels and the civic center. There is plenty of parking options. It certainly isn’t going anywhere soon. The RED circle is Northwest Recreation Center.
